This is a category that I hold near to my heart. I knew from my education and friendships with body builders that I could “get cut” by super regimenting my food supply and taking 5 meals of chicken and asparagus to work every day for 3 months, but this was NEVER going to happen. I cannot stay away from M & Ms for 24 hours, much less 3 months. So this goal is what originally led me to develop the King IV Fitness Program. Now, in order to see abs you need to drop your body fat percentage into the single digits for a man, and 12 to 15 % for a woman, and if you are reading this section you probably will need to be at 4 to 5 % body fat (man), 12% (woman), before you will be satisfied. IT CAN BE DONE with regular food if you are patient. It took me 12 weeks to go from 196 pounds and 12% body fat, to 178 and 3.5% percent body fat. This is the best part. I ate like a normal person. I just used the Balance Log to track a 1 pound a week fat loss for my unique metabolism and worked out 4 times a week at about an hour a session to speed up the process. As they say, I AM NOW IN THE BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE. I maintain my weight and body fat percentage using the Balance Log and have stayed ridiculously “CUT” for over two months. I will not gain the weight back because being cut is just too much fun, especially since my diet includes M and Ms, popcorn, and Smart Ones Ice Cream sandwiches on a regular basis. It will take you some time, but it can be done by regular, non-celebrity, sane people. You can do it faster than I did if you are willing to eat better and work out a little more. It is up to you. Finally, an answer to the “getting cut” dream.
