As when I was younger, some kids today turn off the parent advice button. Even though the advice is sound, helpful, and in the child’s complete best interest, they simply will not listen to anything the parents say. I am not a doctor, or a therapist, but I have worked with kids, ( track clubs and volunteer work), who had difficulty in school and communicating with their parents, and was able to assist them in making some better decisions. Kids have a funny way of opening up to coaches. By taking the young ones out to the Track or by putting them through In-home workout regimens, focus, confidence, and self-esteem are slowly integrated back into their mindset.
