So What Does It Take To Be Happy
People take their happiness for granted. There are a lot of people who simply settle for whatever life throws at them. I’m not trying to jump up on a soapbox or anything, but if you have a desire to lose weight and drop fat, don’t make it so overblown.
In other words, don’t make it so emotionally deep.
Of course, you’ll want to work on having a positive mindset, and of course, you’ll want to focus on getting rid of bad habits. You’re going to have to look at the shit that you probably don’t want to look at. On the surface, when you’re getting into it and making a commitment and when you’re doing the daily work, it’s just about having a desire to be fit!
Understand that even if you don’t care about the process of getting into shape, we still love you. By we, I’m referring to the Facebook group where you can mingle with people who are all trying to walk the same path of losing weight while encouraging one another. There’s a lot of people in my life that don’t give a shit about being fit.
I still love them. I still hug them. I still want to know their goals, their dreams, their hopes, their problems, and their victories. But if you give a shit, or have a desire about getting fit, commit every day to put in the work, to do the mindset work and to get at all the things that have gone awry and adopt a never say die attitude.
If you want something, you have to take it. Day after day, you’ll have to put in the work. I won’t lie, there will be days that you’ll want to quit. There are days you think it’s never going to happen. There are days you’ll think your body is all messed up. There are days you’ll think you’re too old. But you stick with it, and you keep fighting.
Take What You Want By Working For It
You’ll eventually hit the next level, and you can apply what you learned to other aspects of your life such as family, career, volunteer work, service, personal development…whatever you want!
Success is never progressively linear. It never just goes as you want it every day. It’s so important to look at that in the macro. To understand, it’s a get-up, suit up, show-up kind of thing and the consistency will move fricking mountains.
I address some deep stuff because it’s necessary. It’s necessary to get deep to battle the sugar demons, carbaholism and the other big bad things in our life that make us fatter and fatter. Because of that burgeoning food addiction, because we always want to turn to it, and because it seems innocuous.
Keeping Your Head Up Even When You’re Alone
Yes, we have to get to some deep stuff. However, being fit is fun! Working hard is okay. I know, it seems ridiculous because it might seem like you’re the only one keeping in shape.
It might seem like everybody else around you is engaging in all types of activities that will leave them fat and unhealthy at the end of the day. You might notice that the people at your job aren’t living the lifestyle that you’re trying to emulate.
There’s a good chance that the members of your family want nothing to do with your new healthy lifestyle. It’s likely that as you walk your new path, you’ll get some negative feedback when you begin changing yourself for the better. Don’t sweat it. Eventually, the people around you will get used to it.
The problem is that they don’t know how to approach you properly. They might even view you as being better than they are, so they insult you. Just ignore that negativity. Just be you, and let those who will be kind be kind and those who will be nasty be nasty.
Grind But Have Fun Doing It!
You should try to be the best human being that you can possibly be every single day. I’ve been in this a long time. I have seen a lot of people. I’ve seen a lot of madness and victories. It’s nothing crazy. You can still eat in restaurants and travel.
I encourage you to do mindset work, perform daily exercise, and eat like a champ every single day and don’t forget to do what makes you happy. Life is too short to be miserable. Get out there and grind, but have fun while doing it!
